Jon Stewart attack line on W

Kerry should use the Jon Stewart attack against Bush

Jon in an interview with Bill Kristol said: If you are driving along the road and the driver drives you in the ditch are you going to ask that same guy to drive you out of the ditch?

He has already proven he is a bad driver... why let him contine to drive?

1. that was one of the best interviews he ever did!
how cool was it when WK admitted that he could tell the truth there, cause he was outside DC?

WHY doesn't EVERY dem have that exact line ready WHENEVER they appear opposite him, along with yours about the driver

2. Here's another good Stewart line.
VOte for George Bush so he can finish the work he never started.

That was in response to his acceptance speech where he laid out all the things he was going to do in the next four years.

4. What Was Even Better About That Interview
was that he got Bill Kristol to admit that Bush had driven the country into a ditch. That was a hoot!

I liked that part even BETTER!

Kristol was so out of it...he didn't realize what hit him

I'd LOVE to have seen the asskicking he got from Karl over that

can you imagine how PISSED he was that Kristol got undressed by a fricking comEEEdian?

Now that we are in the ditch, getting out of the ditch would be disastrous.

6. That's good
It's compact but I like this one, too:

Man With A Plan

You know, I don't know why Atrios is so upset about people like Woodruff and Gergen and Carlson obviously spewing RNC talking points about how Kerry has to come up with a plan for Iraq in order to win, but Bush doesn't. The logic is obvious.

Suppose you hired a contractor to put on a new roof and he ended up creating a huge hole in it instead. The contractor simply denies that a hole exists and keeps telling you to relax that your new roof is coming along just fine. The other contractor in town drives by and says he can fix that hole in your roof. You ask him how and he says, "well, I'll have to take a look at it and see how much damage is done but I have years of experience and a lot of good workers and I can get the job done for you. I'll tell you one thing, that guy you've got working on it doesn't know what he's doing. The hole's getting bigger while we stand here looking at it."

Gergen, Woodruff and Carlson would pick the first contractor because they know his work. (And he's a blast to have a beer with at the end of the workday.) The second guy refused to say exactly what he would do without looking at the damage up close so he can't be trusted.

All of these people are very highly paid analysts and they know what they are doing. We should listen to them.

11. Nobody knows what that second contractor is saying!
He's unclear! Nobody can understand him! Nobody knows who he is! He's negative! He's pessimistic about holes! He said he'll "have to take a look at it" but he said the hole's getting bigger "while we stand here looking at it" so is he looking at it or not? He's flip-flopping about whether he's looking at it! He's taken sixty different positiong on that hole!

8. Another great line from his interview with Buchanan
When talking about Dubya's "consistency" or whatever on Iraq, Stewart said "That's like saying the guy drove us into a wall, but at least he didn't blink."

22. he tied buchanan up in knots!
Jon had the goofy bullyboy admitting geebush was wrecking everything, then had him say 'still I won't vote for kerry!' then jon asked if america can afford 4 more years of bush (buchanan said: 'no, no but..but...' {lost for words})!! also buchanan brought up the dem's pro vote re: iraq war and Jon said 'it's the carry a big stick idea to give prezbush any needed tools etc BUT no one expected bush to actually start beating people to death with it!'
priceless!

18. yep - his show won a couple Emmys last night
i watched the award show cause as I told my husband I needed to watch meaningless drivel not related to politics.

Anyway, JS showed a funny clip of the Skiff Boat Vets for Truth disputing George Washington. It was hilarious.

21. But here's the Republican reponse to Stewart
Bush is the guy who drive you into a drive, but Kerry is the guy who, when asked whether he knows how to drive, can't give a straight answer. Kerry's also the guy who said ok to having Bush get behind the wheel in the first place.

He was resolute!!! He never backed down. He made his decision to go in there and did it!! Despite what all the passengers were yelling at him to stop!!! It was dangerous!! He didn't care!!

just kidding

26. Like Hasterts remarks on terrorist loving Kerry...
they've setup a 'win-win' for the Bush team. If terrorist attack, its because they love Kerry, AFTER the election it's: if terrorists attack, Bush will take care of you. Yet, if Kerry is president and there's an attack its because Kerry is weak.

Yet somehow Bush didn't take care of us on 9/11...the absurdity of it all.

29. Is it any wonder
he won two Emmy's. I only watched so, I could see the Daily Show win two years in a row.

I was also thinking that the George Washington ad should be played more often, it was very well done.

People love his show and all the talented writers working for the DS.
