LOL, I wonder how long they will try to milk this non-story.
Look how long Faux milked Reagan, they are still milking.

2. The underlying story is still true...
...FratBoy was still AWOL from the TANG while Vietnam was still being fought.

4. over?
So far, all I've heard or read is that the memo is flawed. But I have not seen any evidence that the information contained in it is incorrect or valueless.

So my questions are,

Has it been determined that the information relating to Bush's AWOL status been refuted?

Has it been conclusively proven that Bush properly served out his time?

Is there any basis for exonerating Bush from the charge that he failed to obey orders to appear for a medical exam and fully complied with all other orders???

Thank for your reply.

6. They'll never let it die - which plays right into our hands.
The only way the documents can be proven fake is by proving the contents false.

8. They could still be real.
If Killian made backups, just in case the ones Knox typed were "disappeared"--which they in fact were.

This post explains the reasoning behind this scenario:

9. It will be when CBS stops reporting on it...
they still have an interview to air, and that might be the end of it.

10. Dan
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 03:49 PM by BlueNomad
Dan is going to be on Larry King tomorrow night....

Maybe I am alone on this one but I just don't see this ultimately helping Bush very much. Those who hate the so called liberal press have not been watching CBS and Rather anyway. They will beat it some more in the cable press but this is not the swift boat issue.

And God help Bush if CBS decides to keep digging around. It is a mark on CBS's record but I have been monitoring the news today--from cable to radio and while the CBS thing is getting played, Kerry's Iraq speech and all the violence over there has been getting more "minutes" time. CNN, FOX and MSNBC aired the speech, and NPR has been mentioning all day. Chafee saying he won't vote for Bush is getting some wheels too. I say chill--let it play itself out--because it will one way or the other...
