1. Actually that's a stronger point than you may realize. "Flip-flops" are
evidence of making ACTUAL DECISIONS. Only a complete dumbass (ie bush* supporter) would expect a coin to land heads 100% of the time.

3. If none of us ever changed our minds...
We'd all still be with the first person we ever dated. And we'd spend our afternoons watching Sesame Street.

2. Why does any informed Dem
buy into that crap that John Kerry is a flip flopper? This false charge is based on votes as a Senator. Most people have no idea how the Senate operates. It isn't taught in Civics class anymore, I guess. And those of us who once knew, seem to have forgotten.

Rarely, in the Senate are there votes straight up and down on just one issue. Both parties maneuver to get things attached to bills that are oftentimes totally unrelated to the underlying bill. Sometimes they are really odious addtitions. (The GOP has been doing this for years now). So Senators often end up voting against something they favor, in order to block the passage of something that is truly awful.

The next time the opportunity arises to vote in favor of what they supported in the first place, they will vote for it, if it doesn't have unrelated crap attached. This is NOT flip-flopping even though this time they voted "yes" when last time they voted "no"!

Parliamentary maneuvering and strategic voting do not constitute "flip-flopping." Voting FOR a Dem version of a bill and AGAINST a GOP version of a bill does not constitute "flip-flopping."

I think this is why Senators have a hard time getting elected Prez. Their voting records are easily taken out of context and distorted. The simpletons are easy marks to buy into the "flip-flop" charge.
