Amazing how Media Reports on the Presidential Canidates...
In our newspaper, the Duluth News-Tribune, actually a rather liberal newspaper in a democratic stronghold here in the north, it's amazing and sickening how the media portrays the presidential candidates in their headlines.

In today's paper, side by side, were two headlines - one regarding Edwards and the other regarding Cheney. Cheney's headline read, "Cheney Reinforces Trustworthy Image." As if Cheney and Bush had this trustworthy image from the beginning, almost like a given. Edwards headlines read, "Edwards Avoids Knockout Punches," and then goes on to say how Edwards nice guy image might be hurting the Democrats. Huh?!?!? Cheney's headline was absolutely positive and Edwards was written in a negative tone. And, this is from a pretty liberal newspaper!

Both articles came from Knight Ridder News Services. I suppose that's where the bias comes from, but why did they have to go with these headlines. Lots of people just skim through the headlines when they go through the newspaper, and that's all you really need to see to reinforce things in peoples minds. Disgusting.

3. The news is a sham
We live under a fascist state that is masqerading(poorly) as a free democracy. The news is merely a propaganda tool of the dictator *. It is a total sham. If we are to win this election it will be without the use of the media. We must rely on the web and on grass roots democracy. CNN - "The most twisted name in news." FAUX- "We distort - you decide". MSRNC= ???. Bunch of crap. We must wriet off all news as a Republican spin machine. * will "win" all the debates in the eyes of the media even though he can hardly complete a sentence without stuttering. What a shame.
