3. Agreed. AND if they get the same message flooded in over and over again,
they may just throw them out. However, writing your own response as to Medicare for All option is a good idea.

4. So - delete the message and write your own- even if you just send the original

It will still show one more voice for single payer....

I agree, I wrote my own as well. And, follow up your letter with a call. I called Baucus and told him that I (along with my friends and family) will be vested in removing him from his seat, and replacing him with a person who stands for democratic values. Donations will be rained down on any such candidate.

13. Make sure not to snail mail it
Sending snail mail to your congressperson will take about a month due to anthrax screening.

and convoluted. And why does it address the President as Mr.????

Here's what I wrote. Feel free to steal:

Dear President Obama, Senators and Representatives,

It is time to take corporate profits out of health care. Health insurance contributes *NOTHING* to the health or economy of this country.

Health insurance companies are the real "death panels," denying care to those who need and have paid for it in advance, in order to line their own pockets.

Health insurance is an unecessary burden on American companies, which can't compete effectively against companies from countries with nationalised health care.

Mandatory private insurance is nothing more than a thinly disguised, forced subsidy to the insurance industry. Stealing from the middle-class and poor to give to the wealthy.

National health care is a matter of economic security. It is a matter of fairness. It is what is right.

I am not interested in ANY health insurance program. No coops. No public options 'some day.'

I am not interested in subsidizing the health insurance industry, while I live, unemployed and in poverty, knowing that I'm one serious illness away from losing my home. I will pay fines before I will give them one penny.

There is only one solution that is economically healthy for the country, fair to all citizens and the right thing to do. Extend Medicare to all U.S. citizens.

SINGLE PAYER NOW.

Sincerely,

11. Because Single Payer this cycle is a pipe dream, and politicans probably ignore such faxes?
The faxes would probably be more effective if they advocated for a plan currently being considered by at least one committee of one house.

THAT at least has a shot.
