Can you imagine what America could be under that leadership?

I can.

20. You're right. You can see LIGHT in their faces. Compare that to the gray
pallid, wan (except for the gin blossoms) faces of Bush and Cheney.

ebay, halliburton, etc. getting the point across. and this is what he does almost everyday around the country. just because the big media doesn't show him doesn't mean he isn't doing anything.

13. Wastes no time getting to the point: Bush destroying the economy.
You'll hear Bush make excuses. But 75 years of history show us that you can create jobs regardless of the adversity you confront. WWII. Cold War. Vietnam War. Oil Crisis. But Bush can't create jobs. He's a failure.

Income for working people is down. You want four more years of that, vote Bush. If you don't, vote Kerry.

They can't defend what they've done. That's why all they have are attacks on Kerry's character. And they'll lie. Cheney said they made health care more available and more affordable. WTF? The Ebay economy...they'll say anything.

They say they're doing no special favors for their friends. A mulitbillion dollar no-bid contract isn't a favor? Not following the law requiring money withheld from Halliburton when fraud is being investigated isn't a favor?

We need a new president.

Truth is we live in a country that is divided in two: for those who have it made and never have to worry, and one for those who are struggling. And Cheney pokes fun at this? Americans who are suffering don't think "two Americas" is a joke.

We can do better. We can build one America that works for EVERYONE. This is at the core of what we are all about.

I grew up in communities that suffer when the economy suffers. We need a president who realizes that work is more than just a paycheck. It's about dignity and self respect.

We have work to do. The starting place is jobs.

One in five jobs lost in America lost in OH. Why in the world would Ohioans reelect this president?

Outsourcing this administraiton would be good fro this economy.

(takes off jacket...)

21. I think I know this speech a little too well.
I love this speech.

In my opinion, it's exactly the message America needs to hear right now, and is the one that can help Kerry win.

17. more...
Edited on Mon Sep-20-04 12:53 AM by AP
...let's build cars for Americans in America by union workers.

When oil prices go up, oil profits go up. Are you surprised that Cheney (oil) and Bush (oil) don't have any interest in energy independence?

Uh, uh. Kerry isn't compromised on this issue. He will do what's needed.

Bush is in MN today lying about health care. "It's a very short speech: prey you don't get sick. Pay more. Get less."

Of all the places to go to talk about health care, MN, where premiums are way up (230%?).

Kerry is going to do something about health insurance and prescription drugs.

Bush had a clear choice on this issue -- Canadian imports. But he stood on side of the drug companies, and not with the people, not with America seniors.

Patients bill of rights: Bush stood with big insurance companies and HMOs.

Kerry-Edwards will allow Can drug imports, will use market power of gov't to negotiate better price, and will get those ads (creating desire) off the TV.

23. me too
that's why the criticisms of edwards giving the same speech shouldn't matter. first of all most of the people who listen to it have not heard it before. but also, there is no reason to change it if it's so effective.

18. Four more years of taxcuts for millionaires? A president who stands with
Halliburton? With HMOs?

Nope.

Then vote Kerry, who will wake up every day and work for you.

We need you every day reaching out to your friends and neighbors. Tell them hope is on the way.

28. Kick this antidote to Nina Totenberg's story on NPR this morning.
Nina's story had a lot of clips of Edwards speaking, which is great. But a lot of spin telling us how what you were hearing wasn't great, which was bad.

Well, in this thread, here's what real people heard in that speech.
