Oh, lordy. Barnacle sucking up to Joe and the Rs this morning by |
|
saying that Dems looked ridiculous jumping up every 10 seconds to applaud the President. Jesu H Cristo. Only to be backed up by Dick the Gregory who seems to think that the President could have been more "emotional" last night. Folks, these are the soft-pedalled version of the BS that will be catapaulted today. These and Joe's report that he "had heard" that no Rs had been invited to the WH since April to discuss healthcare. There was a standing invitation of an open door that these corporate goons elected to ignore. SO, now that they are likely to commence with whining about not going there, they need to be called early and loudly for their continued dissembling.

7. THe function of Scarborough is to be the first attempt at catapaulting |
|
propaganda for the day. They try to see how something will stick with him because there are people who won't listen to the likes of Hannity, Limbaugh, and Beck but will view Joe because he gives the appearance of being fair. Talks crap out of both sides of his mouth but basically gets the GOP talking points for the day and loyally delivers them. Today his task is to set up an argument to the public as to why Wilson should be given a pass and possibly not lose his seat because once again the Rs have misjudged who and how many people are angry about what in this nation.

differently. He clearly DOESN'T like to be wrong.

3. did you hear Joe Scar basically excuse Joe WIlson's outburst |
|
Edited on Thu Sep-10-09 06:37 AM by ErinBerin84
because "Rahm has said some things in the past"...uh, I must have missed when Rahm screamed at Bush during his speeches to Congress.
edit: Joe also "explained" Wilson's "it's a lie" re: illegal immigrants and more or less agreed with the points. Scumbag.

12. they do - as did the R's when they did the same thing with junior |
|
it is a stupid reaction to every pause in the speech.
But . . . why did you not finish. He also criticized the R's for remaining sitting - and looking "small".
oh yeah - I remember now - can't say anything good about this show - or even balanced.

14. Agree that the show not "balanced" or good, but do understand the |
|
purpose it serves. How can you try to get some of Fox's demo while not pissing of all that new liberal audience you have attracted with the true stars of the network? You trot out some RW demagogue who has learned to speak in full sentences and smile at the same time.

16. it seems the shows rising to the top are the ones where |
|
guests of both persuasions are invited.
I was never an Ed fan - but now watch because he does go head-to-head with R's. IMO his show is one of the better hours on TV.
Also Rachel. She is not afraid to confront anyone brave enough to appear. I fear those are dwindling because they see the risks in appearing like idiots against her.
So - I do like morning joe. Do not care for Joe and write weekly to express my dissatisfaction over his boorish behavior. But they do typically have a great line-up . . . from both sides.

18. who cares about the R's - we need the independents to listen |
|
and the way to get that to happen is to offer objective coverage. Not the whacko R's but ones that offer a semblance of intelligence.
Why does faux keep with the ridiculous "fair and balanced" meme - to draw the ind's to their demo.
