I won't drive myself up the wall. The one thing every duer should know is just, because some duers do agree with Obama it doesn't mean we hate the him. Alot of us backed Obama from the beginning, but we haven't agreed with some of his policies. I respect everyone here, because you care about this country. We all want this country to succeed, but we have different ideas on how to get there.

1. No need to wait -- keep calling your Reps and Senators
I was pleased with Obama's speech. I believe he is committed to the public option. I am going to keep pressing my Senators and REps on it, as well as making sure the insurance regulation is very strict.

not supporting dems any more. if the final bill sucks, i'll be mad along with everyone else, but i'm not going to get worked up until something gets voted on.

also, a lot of the people screaming the loudest about this have always had a personal dislike for the guy, so their criticism seems to be motivated mostly by that. that's not directed at you.

4. If you were here during the primaries, you would know I was one of his biggest supporters.

6. I KNOW most people dont hate him......
Edited on Thu Sep-10-09 02:49 PM by Clio the Leo
.... and they get aggravated out of frustration and disappointment.

But I think those emotions are based on 1. not being well enough informed about the man they elected (READ THE FLIPPIN BOOKS PEOPLE!!!!) and 2. Presuming they know more than he does re: the matter at hand. He is working on things NOW that we will be arguing about a month from now.

Call me a cheerleader if you may, but I simply believe that Barack Obama is simply more intelligent, more empathetic, more sensible and better able to handle whatever issue he's facing. I TRUST him.

Because to presume otherwise means he's either a liar or he's stupid. You'll forgive me if I think he's neither of those things.
