Great guest on NPR's Fresh Air talking about people behind the Obama=Hitler stuff and health lies
Edited on Thu Sep-10-09 02:45 PM by gauguin57
Guest on NPR's Fresh Air (right now) is talking about Lyndon Larouche connection w/Hitler=Obama propaganda, conspiracy theories, right-wing talking points.

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=112683449

Showing how a point man for the Lyndon Larouche targeted Rahm Emanuel's doctor brother -- accusing him of organizing "death panels" ... then, the Larouche org. handed out flyers at town halls, with Obama's face as Hitler. Then, it started permeating through right-wing radio ... and wound up in the mouths of doofuses like Sarah Palin.

If it's not on right now where you are, you can hear it live on www.whyy.org

1. The guest, Max Blumenthal (wrote Republican Gomorrah) is talking about how teabaggers ...
... don't know the difference between communism and fascism ... and talking about how the RW talking points have led the crazies to paint Obama as a communist/fascist/totalitarian/Muslim ... whatever evil-doer label they can get to stick with the public.

2. I'm hearing names behind the Christian Right that I'm not familiar with ...
... they're apparently powerful people in the theocratic movement, but they work behind the scenes.

4. Blumenthal contends James Dobson put pressure on John McCain to nominate Palin
... his support was all-important to the v.p. choice.

Tony Perkins, head of Family Research Council, is one of the new up-and-comers in the right-wing, anti-health-reform movement, Blumenthal says.

3. How ironic that Larouche would try to equate Obama with Hitler since most of Larouche's stated
viewpoints (and those of his wife) smack of anti-Semitism and Neo-Nazism.

5. Blumenthal is talking about how he got into the church to take the Palin witchcraft video
... the one where Palin was getting the anti-evil blessing from the African minister ...

Blumenthal pretended to speak in tongues to fit in ... he says "I just started saying the names of all the Jackson children" ... now THAT is FUNNY!
