...was it the first public statement of his own?" ~ Rachel Maddow, talking about Ted Kennedy's letter to President Obama, part of which she read.


(The word I'm not sure of is "statement" ~ let me know if I got it wrong.)



How would you answer her question??

Obama wouldn't have brought it up if it wasn't part of the statement he was trying to make.
