Bill O’Reilly ended his show last night by saying
"Anyone who carries FOX News is a patriot" in regards to the 13th anniversary of Fox News.
On Monday, FOX News will celebrate its 13th anniversary. Amazing. That's an awful lot of bloviating from me, your humble correspondent.
Wow. For once... some honesty... but I digress...
In the beginning we had just 17 million homes. Now the number is 98 million households in America, and you can see us in 40 countries around the world. We'd like to thank all our cable partners, including RCN which recently renewed its contract with FNC.
Anyone who carries FOX News is a patriot.http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,559004,00.htmlSo how would it be "patriotic" to watch what is supposed to just be news, done by level-headed, fair journalists who are not supposed to politicize the news?
Is it "patriotic" to be wrong on linking Saddam to 9/11? Here's an analysis on that issue:
Those who primarily watch Fox News are significantly more likely to have misperceptions, while those who primarily listen to NPR or watch PBS are significantly less likely.

The frequency of Americans' misperceptions varies significantly depending on their source of news. The percentage of respondents who had one or more of the three misperceptions listed above is shown below.

Another key perception--one that US intelligence agencies regard as unfounded--is that Iraq was directly involved in September 11.
http://www.worldpublicopinion.org/pipa/articles/international_security_bt/102.php Patriotic to watch a news channel, Bill? That is fully admitting it is propaganda. And we can see how such propaganda has made it possible for people to support a trillion dollar war with countless dead.
Fox News should be called the Republican Agenda Entertainment Channel...
