The President has demonstrated that he does what he chooses is the right thing
not about how his "image may be hurt" when his lobbying fails.

This is called character.

Thank you, Mr. President, for following your heart and taking political risk.

1. Great insight, "Question everything"
Are you one of the ones sending IM's to people every time someone says something harsh about Obama?

5. Heavens no!
I consider this place to be of open and free discussion. I have never put anyone on an "ignore" list - except someone who PMed me threatening notes - and if I disagree with someone I will either comment or just move to the next topic. And rarely, rarely give a U to a thread. I think that doing so anonymously is cowardly.

2. I'm not worried about what he does, I'm worried about what he isn't doing.
I could care less if he goes to lobby for the Olympics. What I want to know is what is he doing to create jobs? Screw the lowering taxes create jobs argument, there are concrete things he should be doing but I don't hear about them. How is he missing the elephant in the room?

3. 30 yrs from now it will be revealed by Malia or Sasha they went so they could be turned down.
Sort of an "OMG, he's human" moment for the wingers.

It's way to soon for the US to get the games again.

4. He just gave a big speech to kids telling them that you don't always succeed but you should try
anyway.

It is worse to be afraid to try then to try and fail. You learn from your failures and you can't ever succeed if you aren't willing to put yourself out there.
