WTF? Does the media just draw straws to decide who supports what? Shields on the Chicago trip - "who is in charge? You don't get on the plane unless you are sure you will win. No one pressing on the public option. too many loose threads". Brooks - "they are trying to do so much, you win a few you lose a few, they are doing pretty well considering all that they are taking on".

Welcome to bizarro world, once again! I am disappointed that Mark Shields decided to take those views.....kind of atypical for him, really.

1. That's stupid deadend thinking..sorry, Mark Shields,
get a grip.

This isn't the courtroom..they're not only going to ask questions they know the answer to. This is real life where you try your best and if it doesn't work out then you don't soak up fearmonger talking point to spit out.

It's all good, Mark..get over yourself.

3. Actually, they thought they had it, despite the IOC wanting Rio. According to Jim Warren,
deals to swing African votes to Tokyo. Still, I'm happy Rio got it, but just didn't want one more non-issue becoming an Obama RW dig.
