3. The world has a liberal bias.
So do the facts.

The Bible has a liberal bias too.

5. Actually the vast majority of the Bible has a vicious genocidal psychopathic bias
For every love the neighbor as thyself there is a dozen smitings.

12. The nobel peace prize
is a prestigious and highly respected award. It should not be handed out just because they are not someone else. what was the real reasoning he received it, maybe I missed something. How many here think he truly deserved it? I would not want to see such a great reward just handed out because it just feels like a good idea. Takes away from the importance.

15. The reason is not simply because he is not bush but because
he is more diplomatic than bush, smarter than bush, more politically savvy than bush, more trustworthy than bush, more sincere than bush, more sympathetic than bush, more revered by the world than bush, more willing to listen to other opinions than bush, in other words what we as well as the rest of the world need right now....NOT BUSH!

13. Yep, his election itself changed fear into hope
Mad Dog Bush was gone and a hopeful, thoughtful new face was on the scene, saying all the right things to soothe a troubled world. I am not saying it was the anyonebutbush award, but that Obama inspired the world to think that maybe America could be a shining leader again.

16. I see your point
I just thought the award was for someone who did do something, not might do something.

17. I take your point. But it's not true, of course. He won because of things he has SAID, and his
goals and tone. All of this is important because he's the most famous person in the world. When he speaks, the world listens.

So it's not just who he is NOT. He won because of who he IS.
