Obama won the Nobel for reversing Cheneyism: the policy that America runs the world by force |
|
Obama changed America from being a force for instability and disaster to a force of leadership and stability.
And no, it is not a finished project. But it's hard to imagine today how evil America was under Cheney. Obama changed that, and although unfinished it was a huge improvement and a giant step up for international relations and peace.

4. what's confusing to some people |
|
I think what's confusing to some people is that Obama is just doing what American presidents normally do... that is if you don't count Bush/Cheney, who did the opposite.
Obama is getting the Nobel for getting things back to normal in international relations. And that is actually a big deal.

7. Or if not absolutely reversing Cheneyism, at least halting its advance. |
|
That's especially impressive, given the depth of corruption in the Legislative and Judicial Branches.
