Chuck Todd kept "reporting" false info. this morning.

He kept saying that people who really want a public option like Dodd, Pelosi, Harkin, and others are now "second string" because the Baucus bill and the HELP bill will now be merged behind closed doors with Baucus, Reid, and Collins." Does he really BELIEVE that or is he just uninformed?

I LIKE the fact that he considers Dodd someone who would be more likely to fight for a public option since he IS one of the people who will be negotiating the bill despite Todd's "reporting."

.... when it came to really understanding how the Senate operates.

And of course Chuck knows this having been a Senator for the last 40 years. (ha!)

Even if we presume what Chuck is saying is true, he conveniently left out the fact that one of the longest serving members of the Senate has an office about 100 yards away from the Oval .... and probably even a telephone.

problem with understanding anything. Because Obama talked a lot about the Baucus bill he assumes that thats the bill the President favors.

What he fails to comprehend is that Obama talked a lot about that bill yes, but it was only because it was the only committee who hadn't put a bill out yet and Obama wanted to get the ball rolling.

Smart people could figure that one out. I don't consider Chuckles smart.
