Poll question: PO does/doesn't pass senate; is/isn't in Conference bill
Define PO (public option) however you wish.

2. That's why I said "Define PO (public option) however you wish."
If you predict a PO not worthy of being called a Public Option then you can vote yes or no... whichever you're most comfortable with. I totally get that.

I don't consider anything on the table an actual public option since so few people can OPT for even the best of them.

So I imagined the poll as "whatever the media will call a PO" but not including a trigger plan as a PO. But that's just me. Too complex to dictate in a poll question.

5. Some lameass version that isn;t really a PO makes it....We blow it again
Edited on Thu Oct-15-09 09:52 AM by Armstead
In order to placate Sen. Snowe and a few lame-ass Corporate Centraist Dems, while trying to make it look like real reform to the "left," there will be a PO that .0005 percent of the population might be eligable for -- and which is locked behind a series of "triggers" that are so tight even that will never be applied.

This will effectively kill health refiorm for at least another decade, until premiums have risen by another 1,000 percent. But by the the GOP will be back in the saddle, so "health reform" will simply be outlawing all malpractice claims.

6. Which ever one President Snowe wants,
that is what is going to happen, as she has the Bully Pulpit and veto power.

7. Doesn't pass the Senate but will be in the conference report

Might not be the PO that we want but the Progressive Caucus essentially has veto power if they stand their ground. There will be a public option in some form.
