91. So I'm driving around running errands and CNN Radio News comes on |
|
and leads off with a clip of this professor from Tulane who says he wants to know why Obama even bothered to show up in NOLA, and what's in it for the president to be there. Of course CNN leads off with this story at the top of the hour for at least 3 hours.
I could have reached into the radio and smacked the guy. What if Obama hadn't shown up? Then the response would have been "he doesn't care!"

Edited on Thu Oct-15-09 01:55 PM by Clio the Leo
.... at least as President regarding what the questioner feels is too much delay in FEMA checks since the recovery begin. He says, "I wish I could just write a check..." to which the person says, "why dont you!" and the President says, "Well, there's this little thing called the Constitution that prevents that..." and goes on to say they are getting the money out as best they can and he has full confidence in those within his admin who are responsible.

.. "because God is love!"
President says that "I did get elected President, so not everyone hates me... but it's just politics, some feel they have to poke you a little bit to keep you on your toes ... people are worried and they feel frustrated and you have to deal with all of that when you're the President. That's part of the job, I'm a tough guy. Are you a tough guy? You look like one! You just have to keep on going because you know you're doing it for other people!"

|
.... he used the word in a response to one of the questions and I thought not only did * NOT know what that word meant, I'd doubt anyone in his admin did either.
