Rep. Lynch backs Capuano for Kennedy seat
Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) will endorse Rep. Michael Capuano (D-Mass.) on Monday night for Ted Kennedy's old Senate seat.

Lynch's decision not to run in the special election last month caught many by surprise. He and the rest of the state's delegation are expected to support Capuano over state Attorney General Martha Coakley (D).

Reps. Jim McGovern and John Tierney both endorsed Capuano in the last week. Rep. Barney Frank has also done so.

Capuano's campaign said the Lynch endorsement will be made at an event in South Boston beginning at 6 p.m.
