I would just like to point you to Tsongas and Simon's positions in the Clinton administration, Pat Buchanan's position in Bush Sr.'s administration, and Alan Keyes' position in Jr.'s administration.

Surgeon-General is a bullshit minor position.

If Clark were to include Howard Dean in his cabinet, it would be in a much higher position than SG.
