:wow:

If true, there are plenty of possibilities - including the "he's sitting back and letting everyone else duke it out" and "he's playing chess" notions. Or the "obvious" ones...

Either way, no celebrations are deserved until after something gets signed... or vetoed.

I like trying to get "A" grades when possible; not like there are jobs post-graduation, however...

9. Don't trust the media. Especially reporters and journalists that don't understand
the workings of Congress. And that is most of them. Because few of them have worked the beat for more than 15 or 20 years.

And there are too many layers between the reporter and any possible truth. There are the gophers if any for writers. There are the staffers for congressional members that are or are not involved directly with the legislation. The staffers may be newbies or still relatively uninvolved with any procedural operations of Congress.

There are staffers that are sneaky about releasing information. Either they are trying to make sure it does pass or to thwart the attempt. Either on orders by the office they work for or personally.

And there is the media corporation hacks that do the bidding of their bosses as to how the story will be played.

10. Nobody that wants health care reform to actually pass is pushing for public option.
Harry Reid is getting his ass kicked in Nevada so he's pushing to include a public option to appear strong and get Dems to actually come out and vote for him. Obama has political favorability to spare so he'll take the hit when it comes to inserting the trigger in the final bill. If a public option is in the final bill, there's a good chance reform dies for another 20 years.

15. If their isn't a public option, there is a good chance that current Democrats in congress will not
be retaining their jobs

17. Sorry unrec cohorts, but the evidence is piling up that Obama opposes a real public option
Lucky for us that Senate progressives are drawing a line in the sand:

Meanwhile, those of you living in denial, continue to offer burnt offerings to your god while keeping your heads buried in the sand.

What was that some of you said about a PhRMA-White House deal being a false story?
