Defacing a Bush-Cheney sign
Just caught it in the corner of my eye as we were driving by - a huge banner on a wall and a large splash of red color on it.

I'd hate to see this. I intend to put a Kerry-Edwards sign in our front yard and would hate to have someone defacing it.

1. There is nothing about defacing BC signs
that helps our cause.

2. Remember the KKK votes GOP. A crazy Vietnam vet told me the
other day that there was going to be a civil war in this country. He supports Bush, but hates him. Even though he was obviously mentally unbalanced I tried to tell him that Bush talked big about supporting the Vietnam war, then got out of it, and Kerry volunteered which meant that he was brave and willing to walk the walk while Bush only talked.

Although I don't condone the stuff, I have one incident of Bush/Cheney sign vandalism in my past. I still remember how pissed off I got at my Repug friends from high school when they were going around stealing Gore/Lieberman signs. I managed not to stoop to their level through the entire election period... but in May following the whole election/selection debacle, this one house on the outskirts of town was still proudly displaying their sign for the Chimp. Something in me snapped, so one night I went to work, and did a little vandalism of my own. I have a picture of the final result that I've attempted to post here, for the purpose of fully coming clean and because it's still funny to see, at least to me. My alteration lasted a day or so before the entire sign got knocked to the ground.

ON EDIT: Guess I should've know Angelfire wouldn't let me post it... oh well...

But anyway, that off my chest, I wanted to say that I agree with your post. I think we should respect the signs of Bush/Cheney supporters and other Repug supporters and they should respect ours.

5. Your picture can be seen
I got the Anglefire message, but my interest was piqued, so I right clicked the picture, went to roperties, then copied the url. Once I entered it in the nav bar, there it was.

And might I say, good work. That was funny. And since the elections was over - I'd say harmless.

Otherwise, stealing or defacing campagn signs is on par with smashing pumpkins.

4. well...
I used to have a Kerry sign on my front lawn...and someone tore it up and threw it all over my yard...and I had my old car keyed for having a Kerry sticker on it...

who cares...let them whine and cry like the little pussies that they are...they get what they deserve...
