i checked out his website and if harkin was going to endorse it would have been on the front of the website. they would be playing it up. but it's not there.

5. well....
it's not really logically sound to say he WON'T endorse Kerry (or Dean or anybody else) because there's nothing on his website now.

Personally, I feel that if he hasn't endorsed somebody at this point, he's unlikely to do it before the primary. But it's still a possibility. We'll know more when we know more ;)

6. I have serious doubts
Just the other day I saw Harkin on tv saying he would probably not endorse anyone. Why would he suddenly change a day or two later?

9. You're right. Kerry aides rule out Harkin
"Kerry is scheduled to announce "a major endorsement" from "a prominent state leader" in Davenport today, according to his campaign. His aides said it would not be the state's senior senator, Tom Harkin."

12. Well, it sounds to me like it's Boswell.
He is a Vietnam vet, and the veterans are making the big push for Kerry in Iowa. Max Cleland is there with a group.

So many Veterans and fire fighters for Kerry is the photo op that Bush's millions CANNOT buy.

13. No No No-- I, NewYorkerfromMass, made up that headline
I was just so damned pumped at the thought of Harkin going public (I truly believe he privately supports Kerry)

17. Too bad about Harkin
It really diminishes my respect for him. He caved to pressure. He said he wasn't going to endorse and then two days later he caved.

14. Kerry Campaign announces endorsement of Grady Little!
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 10:34 AM by mouse7
The Kerry campaign released news of a major endorsement by Former Boston Red Sox manager Grady Little.

Little said Kerry should "stay in the race all the way to the convention."

Little was fired by the Boston Red Sox after leaving Pedro Martinez in the game long after it was obvious Martinez was tired. Martinez proceeded to be pummeled by the Yankees late in game 7, costing the Red Sox the American League Pennant.

Kerry campaign sources said, "We couldn't think of a more appropriate individual to endorse Sen. Kerry."

18. I have been emailing him

since his 'from the heartland' shows (the one with Dean was great) and telling him how much I think we need Dean to be our candidate. I hope others did too. He seemed really impressed with Dean at all the appearances they were at together. OTOH he seems to like Kerry a lot too. He's a big fan of Clinton. I can seewhy he wouldnt want to endorse anyone if thats what he decides...it could put him in a very awkward position either way it goes.

20. Sorry to hear it. Really.
I don't know what happened to Kerry's campaign. I am a Clark supporter, but I would consider Kerry is Clark didn't make the nomination. I wish it were Kerry vs. Clark instead of Dean vs. Clark. That way, I'd know the country would be in decent hands no matter who won.

Hate to hear of another Dean endorsement. I don't understand it. Might be the jump-on-the-bandwagon syndrome.
