Maybe Chimpy would like to send these children a poster

Two Iraqi children, with their clothes covered in blood, wait for their parents, who were wounded in an attack by U.S. aircraft according to doctors, in the hospital in Falluja, September 17, 2004. U.S. warplanes bombed targets near Falluja on Thursday, killing about 60 foreign fighters, the U.S. military said on Friday. Doctors said 16 civilians were killed in an air strike, including women and children. Photo by Mohammed Khodor/Reuters

Heartbreaking. This is NOT a show of "strength." How can any Republican think this is "liberation?"

3. Thanks - I don't mean to malign the Parlock discussions
Just to be clear, I'm not saying the day-to-day political campaign skirmishes with the RNC aren't valid because of this. We all know they're important *because* of this.

(I posted it in GD after realizing it might seem like I'm saying that by posting it here...)

I was just looking for funny Chimp photos to post here, and that one hit me in the throat.

4. Most of us
simply cannot comprehend what the Iraqi's, particularly the children, are going through. My mind just can't get wrapped around what horror it must be to face death and destruction on a daily basis.

What are those two kids thinking right now? Look at that boy's face. How many times will they re-live what they went through on Thursday? Will it make them more compassionate? Will it harden their souls?

What are we doing?????? :(

6. You said that so well
It strikes me as a photo that captures so much -- much like the photo of the Vietnamese girl running naked down the dirt road, but in a very different way...

How do Freepers look at this and justify their support for it? I just don't understand.

7. Another boy

A wounded Iraqi boy lies in his hospital bed in Fallujah, after several overnight airr aids hit his village of Zoba, some 16 kms south of Fallujah.(AFP/Fares Dlimi)

Come on, Freepers, chant about how proud you are. Look at this boy's face, what is he thinking? "I'm so glad to be liberated, I'll always be thankful?!"
