Crossfire: Kerry Vs. Cheney |
|
CNN calling it the major issue, as of now
why not?
hope they cover Cheney's speeches back when, re: being in favor of lifting sanctions against TERROR nations Iraq, Iran, Libya, for supporting Hezbollah, among others

|
of an ass he is. Even my son, who voted for Shrub in 2000 saw Tucker once, and asked who the heck he was...he's a real ass! And Tucher wasn't even being that bad the day he saw him.
BTW, I think I've converted him to Kerry this time!

they really are a right wing propaganda mill now, with the obvious exception of NOW, the occasional POV or Frontline
look at their other 'Public Service' shows
what a joke

the "left wing" clain, that they've gone way too far to the right! I agree with that, and maybe that's what PBS is doing too. Another instance of the swinging pendulum.

30. they've been loading up their governing board with PUGS |
|
that's more of a reason than pressure, I think
NPR is headed by a former CIA guy, disguised as USIA
if you look at the show lineup of PBS, they've ALWAYS been lopsidedly filled with pug-oriented socio-economic swill, from Wall Street Week (where's Labor Week?), to McLaughlin, to Ben what's his name, to other business-oriented shows.
the ones that get the pub for being liberal are mostly faux liberal when close attention is paid

11. Bush doesn't know what to do about Iraq, so he expects Kerry to come |
|
up with a way to fix it. Carlson wants to know if Kerry thinks it was right to invade Iraq. What's the harm in saying, "No." Wouldn't that make Kerry look more decisive? Bush's plan for sticking with something, even if it's wrong, seems to be working for him. I don't know, I'm not a campaign operative, I don't have any "big ideas" about what Kerry SHOULD do, (he actually seems to be doing pretty good lately), but I don't know what Kerry REALLY thinks about invading Iraq. Why can't he say he was misled like the rest of the country by the Bush administration's lies?

26. Saddam was contained and this admission is in the Bush admin's |
|
own report. 1500 pages saying the sanctions were working. I don't know the name of the report, I missed that part of the newscast, or I'd link it here.
I don't see how Bush's speech, (paraphrasing), "Saddam would still be in power with his torture chambers and mass graves..." works. There are still torture chambers and we're filling more graves everyday.

which it is for Halliburton.
Tucker trying to make it see like Halliburton isn't an issue but it IS. Moral values and Iraq are both issues with Halliburton. Tucker needs slapped in the face.

21. I heard earlier that the campaign feels that the Halliburton issue |
|
is radioactive. I don't know what the fuck they are thinking. First, why are we having our Pres. candidate attacking the VP candidate? Second, Halliburton is trivial compared to the fiasco in Iraq. Everytime I start to feel better about things, the campaign takes a detour. Note: I have not given up - I think it's damn near impossible for us to lose this year but it sure seems that we're giving it one hell of a try.

I beg to differ. Halliburton is the reason we are in Iraq. Halliburton, Carlyle, Betchel, and numerous others. It is all about War Profiteering and we would be wise not to forget that. The more these huge corporations make the more they funnel back into the GOP.

It's true that Cheney makes a good target, that's why Edwards should be all over him, making Bush defend Cheney against OUR VP candidate.
