CBS on Wednesday aired Rather's interview with Marian Carr Knox, Killian's secretary, who said she did not type the documents but noted that the information they contained accurately reflected her boss's feelings about Bush at the time.

"Now, some are looking at feelings and not the facts," McClellan said, adding: "We don't have to rely on the feelings of a nice woman who has firmly stated her opposition to the president."

legitimate reasons to oppose the chicken-hawk-in-chief. If she knew him and dislikes him, one might assume her opposition to him is more logical and valid than the support he gets from the people he lies to for his own ends.

13. We're not relying on "the feelings of a nice woman" but

on the nice woman's clear memory that 1) she did not type these particular documents but 2) the documents are an accurate picture of things said by her boss, Lt. Col. Killian, back in the day. She seems like a straight shooter to me. She didn't deny that she opposes Bush* being president but she said she knew the documents were forgeries. If she were only interested in defeating Bush*, she could have said that she typed them herself or remembered Killian using her typewriter to type them. She also didn't have to say that she wants Bush* out of office.

Republicans, of course, have trouble understanding honest people who don't try to spin everything. Poor Scottie, he's such a grump. Ari seemed better suited to the job.
