I hope Kerry defends himself in first debate... |
|
Before I get flamed, that is not a criticism of Kerry. I'm just tired of hearing Bush and Cheney say that Kerry keeps changing his position on Iraq.
A simple common sense explanation would shut up dumb and dumber once and for all. I think the first debate would be a great place to respond to it.

Maybe you guys should read past the subject before responding. I have no problem with what he is doing now. I think he is doing a great job. The problem is that there are enough people that will vote on the Iraq issue alone. He only needs to address this question to once to change anyone's mind to his side.
Like it or not, Bush's little sound bites work with a lot of people.
If he answered these bold-faced lies ONE time it might help to shut them up.

9. We read it all I'm sure and don't try to convince us if we disagree. |
|
He has nothing to defend. There are always going to be morons out there you can't convince them either. You think if they just listen to reason, well that is not going to work. Sorry and Kerry defending him self will be weak and then piss off someone else.

2. The best defense is a good offense |
|
Kerry should put Bush on the defense immediately. There is nothing wrong with Kerry's position on Iraq but the IS with Bush's.

I'm confident Kerry will do well with or without the debates, but I think there are so many good things that could come out of a good showing.
The contrast between the two men will only help Kerry's standing.

funny how I always thought the Presidential Election where a sitting President was running for a Second Term was supposed to be about that President's record.
Seems to me that Bush should be defending himself, not the other way around.
You first decide to throw away, before you get something new, right?

when Bush tries to stoke the fires of fear, militarism and nationalism during the debates, Kerry will meet Bush's rhetoric head on with a water hose spray of calmness, reason, thoughtfulness and logic. something that will make people stop, think, differentiate and understand that the reasonable, appropriate, most qualified man for the job in the oval office is JOHN KERRY!

8. FROM AN OLD DEBATE COACH ... |
|
That best defense being the best offense is EXACTLY RIGHT...
Kerry needs to TURN THE TABLES ON BUSH ... AND "POUND" the idea that BEING ABLE TO CHANGE ONE'S MIND IS A VIRTUE... being INFLEXIBLE IS A LIABILITY ...
WITNESS THIS UGLY WAR ... cite the most recent INTELLIGENCE report, which the President had two months ago...
BUT STILL ISN'T ABLE TO COPE WITH THIS DEATH-DEALING situation... "How many COMBAT DEATHS, Mr. President, to get you to change your mind? 2000, 10,000, 50,000 ... When can we begin to call this GEORGE W. BUSH'S VIET NAM... ???"

The Repulsican's lie has worked to an extent...
YES, THERE ARE MANY ISSUES KERRY WINS ON ...
IF HE PAINTS Emperor George Dubious Botch AS AN INCOMPETENT due to his inflexibility... it'll be worth it ... then, it's LANDSLIDE city for Kerry...
KERRY ON... lol

Kerry is doing a great job now by staying on the offense.
I have a problem with the stupid people out there that will believe sound bites over facts. I have no doubt that there are a lot of people who will vote for Bush because they think Kerry is a flip-flopper on Iraq.
Kerry could squash this ONE time by explaining in common sense terms(in a positive way) why he has always had the same position on the war in Iraq.

13. Your subject line says a lot. |

"I hope Kerry defends himself"
Here we are 6 weeks out and we "hope" Kerry will defend himself. That question should NEVER have had to be asked.
