Gephardt's Karl Rovian Move |
|
I heard that the Gephardt Campaign was spreading a rumor that Dean staffers were going to invade the Iowa Caucuses. Doesn't Dean have enough to defend himself against Al-Gorian attacks from the conservative media, without Gephardt pulling this classic Karl Rove move? Sad that Gephardt and his cronies have to resort to this to try and beat Dean.
This is sad, last minute, and obviously a ploy. He's acting was acting so above the fray, even as he played along with it on Chris Mathews last night. This is a typical Washington insider trick, and really beneath him. To Gephardt's credit, he said he trusted Joe Trippi, and Dean, and didn't at all think they were involved.

1. Innoculation against his loss |
|
All he is doing to trying to create some doubt about the Iowa caucus so when he loses he can declare it wasn't a real loss but due to shenanigans.

2. Dean's campaign has been caught doing other unethical things... |
|
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 11:36 AM by Bleachers7
in the last few days.
2 guys were fired for trying to get into the Kerry camp. Who knows how many more are out there that haven't been caught?
Dean's people handing out negative flyers outside Clark events.
Dean's people putting out misleading flyers on cars in IA about Kerry.
Dean's people spreading rumors and leaving messages on answering machines in IA saying that Kerry has cancer.
Yep, Dean is such a victim. :eyes:

4. Why aren't you a lawyer |
|
God knows your conviction rate would be 100% if the "he got accused of bad stuff before" argument were such a no brainer.
Challenge yourself once in a while.

9. The Dean camp admitted to the Clark fliers. . . |
|
. . .but of course that was probably a Rove plant in the Dean camp that did it.

6. When I hear stories like this |

I think back to when Bush took over the White House and we heard about the AWFUL, HORRIBLE things the Clinton staffers did to the place.

Don't you DARE accuse Howard Dean of doing unethical things! It's just not true! It's just not true! He would never do such a thing. He's innocent. Karl Rove did it. Kerry's campaign did it. Edward's campaign did it. Clark supporters did it.....sarcasm off.

17. Yeah! Don't you dare make baseless claims with no proof! |
|
Because people with think you're either dumb or disingenuous!
Unless they're some of these Clark or Kerry supporters, in which case your lack of evidence or sources will result in your being crowned their king!

23. That story was posted on here |
|
last night, I do believe...with a link. It's not baseless. Do a search, or would that be a waste of your time finding out it's not baseless? :eyes:
SOME Dean supporters can dish it out, but they sure as hell have a hard time dealing with it when it's dished back. Very telling indeed.

just for the record, I've said it many times.
The best part about Dean's campaign is that I can hate trippi because I get to run MY campaign the way I want to.

15. Was Gephardt in NH contributing to voter fraud as well? |
|
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 11:48 AM by SahaleArm
Over the past 2 days of calling, a number of older respondents registered as undeclared voters have reported that they have received telephone calls from a campaign informing them that they will not be allowed to vote in the Democratic primary because they missed the deadline to switch parties. A respondent discovered, however, that when she told the caller that she was thinking about voting for Howard Dean, the caller told her that she would be eligible to vote.http://www.americanresearchgroup.com/nhpoll/demtrack/

This is exactly what they do. If there is truth to any of this, I sure hope it all gets out there before any voting is done.
