PM Allawi was a murderer and terrorist for the CIA

Allawi organized a terrorist bombing that killed a bus full of school children according to an ex-CIA officer.

Allawi shot six prisoners in the head just days before assuming the role of Iraqi PM.

Iyad Allawi, the new Prime Minister of Iraq, pulled a pistol and executed as many as six suspected insurgents at a Baghdad police station, just days before Washington handed control of the country to his interim government, according to two people who allege they witnessed the killings.

Allawi participated in the bombing of a crowded movie theater.

WASHINGTON Iyad Allawi, the designated prime minister of Iraq, ran an exile organization intent on deposing Saddam am Hussein that sent agents into Baghdad in the early 1990s to plant bombs and sabotage government facilities under the direction of the CIA, several former intelligence officials say.

Allawi is actually a relative of Akhmed Chalabi, the former #1 Pentagon pick to run Iraq.

This man is a murderer, a terrorist, and a thug.

John Kerry is being savaged by Cheney and Bush for daring to question this fine man? Sure everything is just fine and peaceful in Iraq according to his standards of measurement.

So in the great Bush war against terrorism, they choose their #1 terrorist operative to usher in a new era of Democracy in Iraq.

2. Who should we advocate replace him?
Even a Kerry supported appointed ruler will be tainted. How can we facilitate full and equal participation in the election there as Bush will certainly defend and support Allawi and his lackeys. Allawi has access and control over U.S. sponsored media, and control over U.S. taxpayer reconstruction funds.

5. Really

Kerry could pick a random name out of a phone book and do a better job selecting an interim leader for Iraq.

He could go down to the county jail and randomly select an inmate and do a better job.

Have our standards truly sunk this low? We actually expect Bush to pick a murdering terrorist to lead the Arab world into democracy?

7. Allawi sucks
"Even a Kerry supported appointed ruler will be tainted. "

I replied to that statement.

Allawi is a typical Bush appointment.

What other point were you making?

10. Any U.S. appointee will be tainted
We can't go blindly and pick anyone other than Allawi just because we think they would be better. How about Chalabi? He was a crook and a liar. Allawi followed him. Another bad choice could follow Allawi. I read where Saddam wants to be a candidate.

My main query was do we need to be informed on the choices given that Bush and U.S. resources are already behind Allawi? Who should our candidate back in the interim given that Allawi is such a poor choice? Will Kerry be stuck with Allawi?

8. Propping up Allawi does not give the Iraqi any hope for a better
future. Only the applauding congress love this cretin of the worse kind.

80% of the Iraqis want the U.S. out of their country.

9. I think we should expose him

His record should be exposed. A terrorist and murderer should not be the man to usher in a new age of Democracy in Iraq. What kind of message does that send to the world? Our champion in the war against terror (per the Repugs) is a terrorist?

11. He wanted the WAR
according to this he was behind the information that started this mess in Iraq......

Beginning in 2003, Allawi paid prominent Washington lobbyists and New York publicity agents more than $300,000 to give him access to Washington policy-makers and journalists. The funds passed through his ally in the UK, Mashal Nawab.

Allawi channelled the report from an Iraqi officer claiming that Iraq could deploy its supposed weapons of mass destruction within "45 minutes" to British Intelligence. <7>

(http://politics.guardian.co.uk/kelly/story/0,13747,1131993,00.html) This claim featured prominently in the September Dossier which the British government released in 2002 to gain public support for the Iraq invasion. In the aftermath of the war, the "45 minute claim" was also at the heart of the confrontation between the British government and the BBC, and the death of David Kelly later examined by Lord Hutton. Giving evidence to the Hutton Inquiry, the head of MI6 Richard Dearlove suggested that the claim related to battlefield weapons rather than weapons of mass destruction.<8>

(http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2003/09/16/1063625031302.html?from=storyrhs&oneclick=true) An Allawi spokesman admitted in January
2004 that the claim was a "crock of shit."<9>

all about this crook!
