Wingnuts playing the "misspelled URL" game.
Edited on Sat Sep-25-04 12:12 PM by Why
Go ahead, I dare you. type in http://www.johnkerrycom without the "dot." (don't click the link; it doesn't work that way for some reason) What you see is Alan Keyes' face and a bunch of whacked out shit about abortion and racist screeds against Planned Parenthood. Porn sites do this quite regularly.

3. Try it again.
Maybe it depends on what browser you use. I use Firefox.

6. it may be your browser setting...
Edited on Sat Sep-25-04 12:19 PM by WillW
What's happening is that www.johnkerrycom is having the .com dynamically added to the address, so what you are actually doing is going to www.johnkerrycom.com and that url redirects to plannedchildhood.org.

5. It's www.johnkerrycom.com
Some browsers will automatically put in the .com for you if you forget to type it in, so it works on the basis that one would type johnkerrycom forgetting the . then the browser thinks it needs to put the .com in.

7. I know nothing about designing a website and I KNOW I could do better
This thing looks like a child did it. Full of pseudoscience, lies, and quotes out of context. Some nutcase fundevangelical nutcase is clearly responsible for this. Its links column includes everyone from Anne the Man to Dr. Laura and Mel Gibson spouting off about Family Values. I think you would have to be terribly uneducated to beleive what that site says in most cases. So Wingnuts will probably feel right at home there.

9. Someone needs to return the favor.
How about a www.georgebushcom site that would redirect to pictures of "collateral damage" in Iraq? :nuke:

The scariest part is I truly believe that these nutjobs believe that GW BUsh is leading them in a crusade that will eventually end time, and who knows at the rate he goes he may fulfil their prophecy, only probably not the way they had hoped or intended..If he loses this election they are going to go fucking apeshit!

their service can be terminated by godaddy. Maybe too many complaints will do it too.
