I posted the article here earlier today:

Check out the title now: "Bush, Kerry Twisting Each Other's Words"

2. wow
that is SO LAME.

And that example at the end of Kerry supposedly twisting Bush's words isn't remotely that. Bush ACTUALLY SAID what the Kerry campaign said he said.

What can we do about this?

4. In all fairness, the new title does better reflect the article.
It does detail how both campaigns have done just that.

7. no it doesn't
the story is flawed in the same way as this new headline. It says Kerry does the same, but the example it gives is NOT the same. Bush actually said what the Kerry campaign says he said. I heard it, and so did a lot of DUers.

9. I disagree
There's ONE supposed "example" at the end of the article, where Kerry says Bush doesn't have a plan for Iraq. Supposedly he does have a plan, it's just that the plan isn't working. That's hardly a parallel to the rest of the article's examples of Bush twisting Kerry's words.

8. I just Googled it and the original headline
made it into 92 newspaper sites. The second headline is listed with just 4 so far. All listing were within the last couple of hours, though, so have likely not made it into actual print. I'm guessing the new headline will be the one to show up in newspapers across the country for the Sunday papers. Oh well.

10. How does this shit happen?
Why are they so afraid of the Chimp that they are willing to change a title to appease them?? No wonder we never get the truth,.. Are we even living in a free democracy anymore??

13. Not a normal one, certainly

No one seems to rise up against the fear of this administration, and when someone does, Rove always has something up his sleave. I still think dirty tricks were behind the CBS thing. The AP and others bend over backwards to be "fair" to the Republicans! And they get away with it because of the whole "liberal media" perception. We are beginning to change things though movements like the internet and Air America, but we have a ways to go. It's important we keep up the fight and expand.
