Well they're off!
My precinct walkers that is. I think we've got about 18 or 20 out today. Yay! I'm staying home 'cause someone needs to be at the house for latecomers / folks coming back. I'd rather be walkin' though!

About 5 first-time walkers and 2 new deputy voter registrars. WOOT!

2. Yeppers! We are fighting the good fight.
May not take the state but hopefully we'll elect a bunch of Democratic judges, sherriff and tax collector. 'Cause baby Dems grow up to be big Dems!

3. Wonderful!
I've been canvassing too and it has been very interesting. We are now in the second phase of canvassing and that it to follow up with people on the issues they are concerned about...we are targeting undecideds and I have been able to write some fliers on various issues. I've really enjoyed it! Good luck and keep up the good work! :hi:

4. Parents
My parents - 74 and 65 are out picking up absentee ballots for the first time today. They have never volunteered like this before. It is great to see how many new people are getting involved in this race.

Iowa Democrats' absentee ballot program is amazing this year. My only concern are the new "requirements" on the ballots put in place by the repuke legislature. I hope the R's don't come in and try to disqualify a lot of our absentee ballots. I really fear that here in Iowa. Thank goodness our secretary of state in a Democrat.

6. We registered 22 voters
hit a LOT of apartments and had a lot of good conversations with the electorate. Then came back to my place and had a good beer & bash Bush session. We need a lot of Democratic bonding in my state, everyone says "Wow I thought I was the only Democrat here!" when they first get hooked in.

gotta love the grassroots!!!!!!!!!!!!
