I don't watch much corporate news anymore ... thanks god for Air America!
But I turned on MSNBC and surfed the other cable news channels this morning and guess what? Kerry cannot win the debate! Bush is too good, too personable, Kerry has too many positions on any one issue!
The corporate 'news' media has already decided how this is coming out! So even if Kerry destroys Bush on Thursday, it is obvious that the corporate media will spin it that Bush was better.
The biggest battle after the debate is over is the spin ... that maybe more important than the debate itself. I hope the Kerry campaign, Democrats, and DUers are ready.

8. But Will The People Watch It? |
|
Or will they flip over to a movie after they're done watching Survivor on Thursday?
I'm not worried about the people who watch the debates. I'm worried about the other 97% of the population who will just take Judy Woodruff's word for it on Friday.

with the media already decided. No matter what Bush* does, he will be proclaimed the winner. Perception is reality and the corporate media is pushing the image of Georgie Boy as brave hero. Thus, the reports have to support that image. In 1980, even when Raygun suffered a psychotic break and went "wandering down the highway" in his debate, that story got little play in the press. He was the "great communicator" rather than the demented, senile bastard who could not stay awake for cabinet meetings. Things have only gotten worse.

5. But the pundits all said Kerry's convention speech would stink! |
|
and then their little heads exploded live on MSNBC when Kerry proved them wrong.
So it may not work out the way they think.
