Will people be looking for the talking heads to tell them who won? |
|
Or will they rely on THEMSELVES to make up their own minds on WHO was the winner? I hope the latter is the case..because even if Kerry blows Bush out of the water...the talking heads will spin it for *
Also I saw Karen Hughes on the Today show today...and let me point this out...
Matt Lauer actually asked her if Bush could be considered a flip flopper because of his stance on the 9/11 commission and other obvious changes in position...and then Karen Hughes said "well the President intended to say" but this is almost in the same breath as "The President is a man who says what he means and means what he says" so can't the TYPICAL citizen see this???? its so blatant...* can change his mind and that is okay...because he intended something but Kerry is a flip flopper after he was lied to about why we went to war...it sucks..so will the PEOPLE make up their minds or depend on the media to tell them who won?

2. the problem with media pundits |
|
is that they don't present their own personal reactions as such. Instead they're always tuning their psychic abilities into forcing a perception on the "American people". The majority of Americans who can't think for themselves will unfortunately take the bait.
No matter how perfect Kerry's performance is, the media pundits will be able to spin certain excerpts into negatives for Kerry.
Fortunately for us, they are fighting an uphill battle.. we've got the truth on our side!

4. We need to start talking about how every person needs to decide |
|
for his/her self who won.
I know I'm not trained on the ability to judge a debate, but I as a citizen and a voter can say, without reliance upon pundits, who did the better job at articulating his/her case.

5. Yes, a lot of people will be influenced by the spin. |
|
That is pretty much inevitable. So, Bush* has a large, built in advantage.
Even so, enough people can see the truth for Kerry to win it. Remember after Bush* last State of the Union address, the pundits were initially saying how great a job he did, but they changed their tunes afterwards when polls showed it bombed with the public. A similar thing happened with Russert's MTP interview.
