Servicemen giving * the finger - 1/3 military vote coming our way. |
|
From Slate
"USA Today leads with word that one-third of the 1,600 former soldiers who've been ordered back into service are giving the Army the hand and haven't shown up. About have requested medical exemptions, which they're unlikely to get. "The numbers don't look good," said an Army spokesman."
Sry no link... this is from my e-mail, but the article is in USA Dismay.

It more or less said ALL military voting ballots are going to be sent to and handled by the Dept. of Defense. Get ready for another rigged tally!

Rumsfeld and his neocon PNAC team control every bit of the military. There is no way they will allow the vote to go to anyone other then shrub. Their neck is literally on the line. They know once Kerry takes office he will be starting deep investigations into everything (look at Iran Contra). Look at what most of us know here, Rumsfeld has stated on the record to having at least 1 "ghost" prisoner, that is a direct violation of the Geneva Convention, he would then be treated a war criminal. We have the Israel spy ring that many feel go directly to the top, Rumsfeld included (this is treason of the highest order).
This is earth shattering stuff once proven true.

...bastards have sunk to. And I agree, they will try anything, say anything, do anything to stay in power. They have far too much to lose.

6. We need Jimmy Carter on this one. |
|
We need to find Democratic high ranking military officials who will be given the right to oversee the deliverance of those ballots.

9. Why can't military ballots be sent early? |
|
The whole notion of allowing late military ballots to be submitted late because of the slow mail deliver is a complete red herring. If mail delivery is that slow, then military ballots should be sent in early. The thought of allowing *ANY* entity to break the confidentiality of voting is inexcusable. Even if there were no vote tampering going on, how do you expect a soldier to react if they know that their CO strongly favors one side or the other, knowing that their votes will not be secret?

11. I met a military man the other day |
|
I was at the doctor's office for a follow up on neck surgery. This guy was at the window talking to the receptionist. He was a reservist who'd had knee surgery. He told her that the higher ups were giving him a hard time. They were pressuring him to get a medical discharge so they could send him to Iraq. He said, "they keep waving the flag at me but I don't want to go back." He said that his knee is still not healed anyway - he can't do a lot of the things he needs to but they're pressuring him badly. He told her he had four months left in the reserves and if they sent him over there, he's automatically extended.
The girl got up, went in to the doctor and came out again with a note for him giving him full disability for another six months. "If you need an extension," she told him, "just let us know."
He left shaking his head and he said to me as he went out the door, "This shit is just nuts." I bet I know who he's voting for.
Oh, and I have a lot more respect for my doctor now.
