Black Voters Moving Toward Bush... |
|
I'm still trying to find a link to this article. It says it's a Gallup article, but it's not on the Gallup site. Still, I think it represents a wake-up call for the Democratic Party... just not sure they'll hear it in time. And it may be too late.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The real good news in the new Gallup poll is the big movement of Blacks to Bush and away from Kerry. Gallup News | September 28, 2004
Over the past few months, an important segment of Black voters have been moving away from John Kerry and toward President Bush. While the headlines tell us that Gallup has once again found President Bush leading by a solid 52/44 margin among likely voters, the real story of this poll is being smothered by the media. The actual story is that there is an absolutely unmistakable trend of Black voters moving toward George Bush and away from John Kerry.
Going back to mid July, we started to see poll internals that had Kerry getting just 80% of the Black vote. This is of course a death sentence for any Democratic candidate for the presidency. Then for weeks we heard nothing about the intentions of this group. Finally the CBS/Times poll released on September 11th whispered that same number. Blacks were supporting Kerry at just 80%, there was no upward movement for Kerry.
Now comes today's Gallup News release including the internals. They are devistating for Kerry. They show George Bush getting 30% of the "non white" vote. Try as they might, the media can't hide the fact that in this context, "non white" means Black. Gallup tells us that the trend has been there for at least a month. Since the end of August, the President's numbers have improved, with this group, by 7 points. Gallup now tells us that he will get 30% and that just for weeks ago he was at 23%.
14. This is so obvious. It's a GOP plant. You're quoting a Repub source. |
Obviously.
I don't mean to imply you're intentionally quoting a Repub source (although I don't know)....but it is obvious how it's written that it is not from a reputable news source.
After election 2000? I don't think so! After snubbing the NAACP? I don't think so. After appointing the rascist judge Pickering? I don't think so! That's a crock of shit!
18. This "analysis" is obviously from an anti-Kerry author |
|
Why the hell else would the headline say:
"The real good news in the new Gallup poll"?
Come on, people. Let's use our critical reading skills.
Let's see; let me get this straight. All the women are going to vote for shrub because they're so sccccarrrred). All the hispanics are going to vote for shrub. And now the blacks are going to abandon Kerry. Please. What's next Gay Cross Dressing New Yorkers all for Bush.
Donna Brazille and Michael Steele were on McLaughlin report on Sunday morning. Steele claimed that black support for Bush moved from 8% in July to 13% in September. usually the repubs get 10%. I know alot of black folks and they're not voting for Bush, but hey what do i know... I do know this. Repubs definitely want black foks to stay at home.
