Explain this....on CBS news tonight they talked about
the draft...the report begins by showcasing a crossing guard. The reporter says that the woman being profiled worries about other people's kids during the day but is now worried about the possibility of her sons being drafted. During the course of the report the reporter remarks that this woman is a repuke.

WHY OH WHY if you work as a CROSSING GUARD are you supporting the party of the rich?

Oy vey! Talk about voting against your class interests! I simply do not understand it.

1. but she ALSO said she would vote for Howdy Doody
If she believed he could keep her boy stateside. (She doesn't believe Bush's "no draft" statement)

2. she voted for a bad facsimile of Howdy Doody last time
and look where it got her. She needs to vote for an actual man this time - Kerry is running, she oughta try that.

4. Most Crossing Guards especially School Crossing guards are
not paid positions. They are volunteer so just by being a Crossing Guard does not mean you are not wealthy or lean in that direction. It is good that people are fearing the draft but it is the Democrats that have initiated bills requesting a reinstatment of the Draft. It is a losing issue for us. Bush* has said time and time again that he would not create a draft. A draft would sink his quest for unending war and that just won't do. It is the Democrats that want a Draft. They have very good reasons but the Mother doesn't want to hear them.

5. "Give Bush Four...Send Your Kids to War." should be our mantra
we need to hammer that or a similar message home in the next few weeks.

6. It could be that she's just a voulnteer.
When I went to middle school the crossing guards were either teachers or parents of kids at the school.
