I don't think Al Franken and his ditto head friend's "friendship"
will last much longer.

Al is obviously upset with this guy.

And his voice is getting shaky.

1. Yes, Al just ripped Mark a new one.
Oh, well. Al least Mark admitted that Blimpbaugh misled his listeners about Haiti and Kofi Annan's UN speech.

13. So, fatboy deliberately misled his listeners?
Wow, if he were for Kerry, he'd be gone from Clear Channel in a nanosecond.

(for you lurking freepers, that means a very, very short amount of time).

6. I wonder what's in it for the ditto head dude - being on the radio -
sounding inept every day? Seems like a masochist to me.

4. I think Al is getting stressed out over the election.
He, as all of us, cannot believe it's this "close".

It's making him madder and more serious overall.

5. This election is really tough on those of us with family members who we
think are good people but they are supporting Bush (I think).

It is a hot topic, best avoided but it is like a volcano that can blow at any time.

9. It started out with the ditto head
laughing at the "orange Kerry" story on Drudge.

It was insulting and stupid. Al dismissed him outright.

They then talked about Rush lying about Kofi Annan's speech to the UN.

Al was disgusted with his friend for trying to split hairs while defending Rush.

Al blasted him good.

12. The Sundance broadcast shows the episode of the same day.
In other words, there isn't a day's delay - - thank goodness!

I love the Sundance broadcast. (Channel 549 on Direct TV.

8. Yeah, I know.
I feel bad for Al. We all have someone in our lives that we care about, but they've been brainwashed beyond recognition. We try and try and try, and yet... nothing.

I think Al is beginning to realize this now. I've always noticed his getting a little more angry as of late, which is usually out of character for his low-key, droll comedic style. Granted, he's not a raging blaze of emotion like Malloy, but I can tell he's as disgusted as the rest of us.

15. They won't break up, but I won't listen
They've been friends for too long, and Al prides himself on his diversity of friendships.

But I can't stand listening to it. I can't stand listening to Good Ribbin', either, and Al was losing it during those segments today too. If I want to hear shit-for-brains I'll watch Fox. And I don't.

16. Don't like and never did like ditto head
don't like the Franken format and I don't find him funny. He often has Republicans on who overun him and he is not, or is reluctant, to rebut or challenge them. I find that rather duplicitious for a supposed AAR liberal radio talki show. He also likes to promote himself and while there is nothing wrong with it, it does get rather tedious. His latest, the bit with the Irish accent very poorly done that ends in some reference to diarrhea is really bad and distasteful.

Read his book and skipped through it because it was rather shallow and lacking in strong fact.
