The 32 pages of debate rules are ridiculous.
It is obvious that the * camp is deathly afraid of shrub blowing it big time and therefore they have ruled out just about everything except having * and Kerry introduce themselves and say where they are from.

I think that if this debate turns out to be a debacle, and if Kerry suffers from rules dictated by ROVE, it is then time to take to the streets. I think these people have destroyed the electoral process long enough. THEY MUST BE STOPPED.
I am generally a peaceable person but I have reached the end of my rope on this.

1. I hear you.
Every image we will see tomorrow will be coming through Faux's cameras. The staging is all GOP. The room temp is GOP. It is, as it were, their ballpark.

And it's utter bullshit. :grr:

2. Kerry
The question is why did Kerry agree to these ridiculous rules. It seems as if Vernon Jordan said "3 Debates, OK, you guys get everything you want."

Bush is smart. He knows that by the 3rd debate it doesn't make much difference anyway, so his threatening to back out of 1 debate was a ruse that worked.

3. Two things I'd like to know:
1) Who proposed these rules? (Perhaps many of the rules are comming from the Kerry camp.)

2) Where can I read them?

4. yup
they're ridiculous. Bring back the League of Women Voters sponsorship, specify the formats, dates and locations BEFORE the primaries even begin, and require that any candidate will lose federal funding if he or she doesn't participate in the debates.

And there should be five of them.

5. Only 1 rule I want to see in these debates:
What color shall the straps for the lie detectors be?

Any other rule is just fluff.
