Cheney is living up to his name, attacking with a snarl after every sentence. But Edwards is keeping up, being tough without losing his smile.

1. The Bushies have tried to say Edwards is just a courtroom showboater

but he is obviously much more than that. He's been completelt unruffled and come back against charges without being fool enough to attempt to rebut every barb from Cheney.

Edwards and Cheney know how to disagree with opponents and point out how and why they are wrong without getting petty and personal. He came back against Cheney's attack on his qualifications by saying there was no question Cheney had a much longer political resume than he does and the American people deserve to know that. But he pointed out that "A long resume does not equal good judgement."
