At Least Now We Know Who Was President These Last 4 Or So Years |
|
Dick Cheney might have gotten caught in a timeless lie with his "I've never seen you before" misfire at Edwards, but that doesn't mean he didn't win in at least one aspect of these debates. When taking in all the stylistic debating points and standing them up against those of another participant in this presidential election year ritual, there can be no doubt that Heartattack literally stomped the living shit out of George W. Bush.
Where Cheney attacked, Bush pouted petulantly. Where Cheney offered grandiose claims for the efforts of his administration, Bush whined about having to work hard. And where Cheney employed the most precise of language to drive a point home, Bush stumbled, muttered, ruffled nervously through his notes, and repeatedly paused in a way that made it seem his poor little brain had done a runner on him.
Of course, the real victory for Cheney in last night's debate can be found in the conclusion many are reaching today about who is really running the show in the current administration. Honestly, if you put Cheney and Bush in the same cabinet meeting, who is going to come across as being the dominant male? George W. "West Texas Girl" Bush, or slash and burn attack CEO Dick Cheney?
The answer now has to be Cheney. If he felt the need to do so, it is obvious he could eat Shrub like a lunch pack of Twinkies.

I've been thinking about this since early in the debate last night.
This comparison is accurate and really humiliating for Bush!

2. You know who really lost last night? |
|
* is the one who lost. Crashcart's performance so close on the heels of the * embarrassment only served to amplify what a poor job * did in his debate with all of his "hard work" whining.
If I were undecided I think I'd have been shocked even more at *'s performance after last night.

3. Bush lost ground for every point Cheney made. |
|
People don't want to believe that the vice-president is smarter than the president. But now they're faced with the brutal reality. Bush will sink further.
