This is obviously a campaign speech. What justifies giving Bush airtime? |
|
This is a blatent attempt to prop up Bush and by far the most outrageous abuse of the integrity of the campaign by the media to date. I just can't imagine a more unfair action than affording Bush the option to feed the country his propaganda with this gift of free airtime.

3. They do show Kerry speeches |
|
but generally cut away and don't show them in their entirety.
From what I was able to determine, CNN, MSNBC, and FoxNews carried Bush's entire speech. Don't just e-mail them. Call them. Jam the phone lines.

I don't mind them covering a campaign event, but Bush billed this as ... |
|
a 'substantive speech on terrorism and the economy'. This is just a campaign speech. He should get Campaign even time, not "President" time.
I'm really pissed off

5. That's what I am wondering! It's rediculous |
|
Are we sure this is his "substantive" speech?
If anyone is falling for this I'm amazed. Why hasn't CNN cut it's feed?

14. I thought it was going to be a "Major Policy Speech." |
|
I turned it off, then thought I should listen. Turned it back on only to hear Bush taking jabs at his "opponent." That was not a major policy speech. It was a campaign commercial.

15. They must have lied about how long it would be. |
|
The local talk radio host said he'd expected a 15 minute speech. A call in program on the debate had been planned. People were on hold. Even local party representatives were waiting. None of that happened because they didn't dare cut away, expecting that the speech would end before they ran out of time. They even had to skip the top of the hour news.

18. I just called both CNN and MSNBC |
|
CNN operator simply took the info, but the guy on MSNBC, responded to my complaint, "You're absolutely right." Then he said that they would provide Kerry with equal time and would be scheduling time for Kerry to respond.
Keep those phone calls and letters coming guys. They do make a difference.

Media is in the hands of the devil and the pugs keep screaming liberal media bias. Of course people are going to buy it once you have been lied to for four years you get used to it. Bush's life is a 50+ year lie and they are good at it. Cheney looks very comfortable lying his ass off it comes naturally. I hope this election process spawns a new news source that is credible. How that will happen with the 6 megamedia giants I don't know. Maybe Soros needs to go to TV.
