I guess one small silver lining here in Okla is zero Prez campaign ads... |
|
Chimp has it sewed up and JK (smartly) won't waste any money here. These idiot Okies are too fucking stupid for words. HOWEVER, the Senate race is VERY MUCH in play! Carson (who really is a DINO, but at least has a (D) after his name) actually has a good chance to beat Coburn who isn't all that popular...the Tulsa World had a pretty scathing editorial last Sunday pointing out his nuttiness - which of course wasn't news to me since I've known him very very well for 35 years since I flew him and his mostly goofy family all around the world for years when I was chief pilot for his poppy's company. Poppy was a horrible old letch and Tom's siblings are a mixed bag...his older brother is an incorrigible drunk but the other younger one is a pretty decent guy and his sister is a very nice lady, as is his long-suffering mom. It's a very weird family.

1. Same here in Texas as far as lack of campaign ads. |
|
We don't have any statewide races going on so the big news in my neck of the woods is state rep, sheriff and constable, all of which I'm optimistic are going Democratic!

5. Yep, except for cable news, I haven't seen ads since '96 |

California is not in play. Chimpie don't do windows and California.
On edit, I may not have seen them in '96. This has been a Dem state for awhile, in spite of Swarzengroper.

if you listen to any talk radio here, it is non stop campaigning (by the hosts) for Coburn and Bush. Bush doesn't need to spend money here because they do it all for free.
I got into it today with Jim Trabor on WKY. I was so pissed that Bush got away with an "important speech" that was nothing more than an hour long campaign ad. Trabor refused to talk about it and threatened to hang up on me and ban me from his show forever. I am getting tired of OK. I need some political balance.
Where in OK do you live?

4. All's quiet in Nebraska too. |

I love the ads though, so I willingly watch them on the net.
