Dean Leads by 12 in New Ohio Poll!
http://www.dispatch.com/

The early favorite
Dean has 12-point lead

Howard Dean, the brash insurgent who seized the national political spotlight by raising cash over the Internet and bashing President Bush over Iraq, is the early favorite of Ohio Democrats, the first Dispatch Poll of the 2004 presidential campaign shows.
<snip>

Registration required for poll, but the results are:

Dean 29%
Clark 17%
Gephardt 16%
Kucinich 11%
Lieberman 11%
Kerry 7%
Edwards 5%
Braun/ Sharpton 1%

Poll was of 3,401 registered voters Dec 31 through Jan. 9

Wasn't Clark leading in the last OH poll? ;-)

3. Ohio is a Super Tuesday state isn't it?
March 2

Minnesota
California
Connecticut
Georgia
Hawaii
Maryland
Massachusetts
Missouri
New York
Ohio
Rhode Island
Texas
Vermont

Long Time Till OHIO, Slink....nice try, but you'd better be looking at Zogby in Iowa today or you won't make it to Super Tuesday.

6. that poll finished the 10th, and 3/4ths of the survey was done by
the time the Harkin endorsement was announced. There's going to be a bump in the next Iowa polls.

7. I wish Kucinich were leading in Ohio.
Kucinich was great last night in Iowa when he said:

My first act will be to withdraw from NAFTA and the WTO.

When I say this, some people respond, "oh, you're one of those protectionists."

Damn straight I'm a protectionist!

I want to protect American manufacturing jobs and American high tech jobs.

13. Don't get me wrong, Kucinich raises excellent issues
but if he doesn't stand a chance in his own state, shouldn't he be dropping out?
