How much have we done?
I was speaking to a friend of mine last night, whom I consider to be quite skilled in the art of slacking.

Anyway, he's doing work for the Kerry campaign!

I've given money- something I hadn't done in years, and more than usual.

I'm seeing people come out to do political work I've never seen!

Any other experiences on this?

Disclaimer: yeah, this is unprecedented, we're gonna win, but we have to keep working as though it is what it is: in danger of being lost if we don't do more.

1. For the first time
I'm working with a political group consisting of Republicans, Independents, and Democrats, all coming together to get Kerry elected. Some folks are old political hands (a bunch of us protested the war), but others have done little except vote in past elections. It tickles me to watch how fired up they get!

2. I took 2 1/2 years off work
I'm a freelance creative consultant by trade (a couple of Fortune 50 clients, companies whose products you might even have in your home or office). I resigned all my clients, big and small, and created the NotBannedYet.US web site, and have devoted virtually every day of my life since then drawing anti-Bush political cartoons and trying to sell 'toons and t-shirts via the site. I'm pretty much broke now, but I'd do it again. The man is an affront to everything I was taught was good about my country, and I wont rest until he's gone.

3. Thanks folks!
I was beginning to wonder if most of us were "armchair activists," with the exceptions of the famous and activist posters on this forum, of course. And they know who they are.

4. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't volunteered. But I WILL contribute.
A contribution is going to Kerry/Edwards tomorrow.

have I done anything near political, but I am spending a couple of hours a day arguing on various internet message boards. Logic is on our side.

I am in Dublin, Ireland.

6. That's good
Being abroad, you get to take in a viewpoint you just don't get in the US.

E.g., CNN International is almost a real news source outside the US.

Almost.
