What Democrat Will Beat Ahnuld For The Governorship?
Ahunuld is obviously dead meat. My question to you Californians is, who are y'all gonna run against him in the election.

Dem primary candidates are? Any big names?

1. Does California have paper ballots?
If not, I'd say the big lug is gonna be gov. for life!

4. I'm Not Sure...
but there's no doubt that CA is a very blue state.

6. True, it's blue
but it doesn't matter who does the voting.
It only matters who counts the votes....

8. It Voted For Kerry
And gave Boxer nearly 58% and the 3rd highest vote total in the nation only behind the Prez candidates.

10. Okey dokey
I'm not predicting that Ahnold will be gov. for life. Just askin' the question.

If they have a fair election, of course he will be gone.

But then again, he did gain the governor's mansion in the first place, so who knows?

7. Different systems
We use the punch card in Ventura County where I'm at, but in Santa Barbara where I use to live it's optical scan. Riverside uses electronic voting.

11. That Was Before Groper Installed His Pet Secretary-of-State
If this state suddenly turns red, it means they did a Blackwell on us.
The first indication would be if the redistricting "passes". There is
no way it should pass, everyone even regards that special election as a
waste of money.
:scared:

15. Our former Secretary of State
Kevin Shelley(D)got us paper trails for 2006. But the 2005 "Special" election isn't covered. Gee, what's up with that?

2. There are some names
State Treasurer Phil Angelides, Lt. Gov Cruz Bustamante, Controller Steve Westly and possible Rob Reiner and Warren Beatty.

5. That was during the recall
He's never actually run for Governor before in a General and with the large Hispanic vote he has a chance. I'm not sure he'll run though.

12. Not sure about Beatty or Reiner
While I've heard Warren Beatty's name bandied about I hadn't really heard Rob Reiner as a possibility. Both could possibly be good choices. BUT it is entirely possible that the gropenfuhrer has soured the electorate against actors. People may not be willing to take a chance on another one.

14. I'm sure some won't agree with me on this
and I have said it before:
I don't think ANY actor, without political experience, should be in charge of the 6th largest economy in the world.

13. Angelides is the leading candidate.
He's been endorsed by Boxer, Pelosi, and most other prominent Dems. He was head of the CA Dem Party back when Clinton won the White House and we elected two women Senators. Most in the know think very highly of him.

FYI, he's coming to Santee (San Diego County) on August 7th for a huge picnic/fundraiser. If anyone wants an invitation, send me a private message. This should be the biggest Democratic event ever for East County!
