Governor reverses course on donations
http://www.sacbee.com/content/politics/story/13446307p-14287342c.html

With his special election campaign about to go into full swing, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has changed course and is starting to accept money from trade associations with a stake in legislation that could wind up on his desk.
Schwarzenegger said during his 2003 recall campaign that he wouldn't accept the money. The prohibition is repeated on his "JoinArnold" Web site.

But at a fundraiser at Sacramento's Sutter Club on Thursday night that was ringed with angry protesters, five members of the host committee were trade associations with interests in pending legislation. Each paid at least $25,000 to get in.

1. Typical behavior - right up there with
all the Repukes who supported term limits - until they were term-limited.

Plus "Ethics" Bob Taft - who didn't realize that the Ethics he pushed applied to him . . .

And the Repukes who are fiscally conservative - until they are handing out the dough . . .
