We've been stuck with him for coming up on 20 years. Before that he was mayor of Simi Valley - where's Reagan's Tomb is. :puke:
Lungren is former state Atty. Gen. and Issa funded the recall & took one for the team by bowing out to Schwarzenneger in an election he worked to bring about, hoping he (Issa) might win.
Morons all.

2. Issa's a smarmy corporate whore... |
|
Rather stupid, narrow-minded and sheepish, and a car thief to boot. He got elected because he looked good in a suit, mouths platitudes right pretty, sucks up to the right people, and goes to "the right church". Issa's idea of a progressive government is a progression into the 14th century, so long as he's a member of the nobility, that is... Dan Lungren used to be a California Attorney General during the Wilson era - he was one of the forces that re-instated capitol punishment. He's a typical Reagan Republican - fairly neutral on social equality, big on "crime and punishment". He had been rumored to like the large living lobby money got him. However, Lungren is not a liberal and any progressive stances he may claim to espouse have been known to waiver on quite a few occasions. California has a big problem with development money tainting our government folks.
I know nothing of Gallegy. Sorry.

9. Issa is one of the wealthiest congressmen on capital hill... |
|
I believe he's in the top 10 or so between both bodies of congress. He's made his money off of his corporate empire of Directed Electonics Viper Car Alarms. He arguably learned how to build that car alarm from his brother, who's a convicted and known car thief. Issa himself has been linked to his brother (though no investigation was followed through on) at least two separate car theft incidents when he was younger. Issa also looked to be suspiciously present only shortly before what looked like an insurance arson of a company building his company owned in the midwest too. So he looks to be an unconvicted car thief and arsonist.
He personally financed a big chunk of the recall campaign against Gray Davis, trying to get that office for himself.
A Border Patrol Agent tried to stop Issa for speeding. He arrogantly said to this agent.
"You have no authority to stop me--I'm Darrell Issa and this is MY district."

5. Gallegly is the equivalent of having a |
|
repuke rubber stamp as a Congressperson. There was a thread on DU a while back detailing how a DUer had been thrown out of his office when he showed up seeking to set up an appointment. Gallegly is pond scum.

10. I wish I knew who that was, because that's my district too. He's my rep. |
|
His last office used to be in the building where I used to work, and I've see him more time than I care about & used to get his misdelivered mail too.
"Repuke Rubber Stamper" is 100%.

8. My aunt just loves Gallegly |

Only because his office helped her find some information she needed about the law. I was able to convince her to vote for Brett Wagner last year though.
