Air America leaves, but KSAC won't turn right

Starting Monday, Talk City 1240 AM (KSAC) - the lone liberal talk-radio station in Sacramento - will cease broadcasting Air America.

That doesn't mean that liberal voices in town will become muted. Talk City will retain the "progressive" format it debuted last year, with a new lineup of syndicated talkers to augment Christine Craft's local show, said KSAC general manager Paula Nelson-Redfield.
Air America will be silent in Sacramento for a month before moving to KCTC (1320 AM) on Nov. 1, according to Air America spokeswoman Jamie Horn.

"1320 AM is a more powerful station that will allow us to reach Stockton and Yuba City for the first time," Horn said in a prepared statement.

1. I listen to that station while I am up in the Sacramento area.
We will be moving up there permanently in a couple of years and it sounds like there will be two liberal stations there soon. That is just too good to be true.
