Schultz replaced Rhodes in Sacramento 1240 AM... |
|
And I'm personally irritated about it. I am simply not going to listen to an anti-reproductive rights figure who supports the "centrist" pro-corporate wing of the Democratic Party. At least Randi has the passion required for really taking these fascists on. I am very disappointed in the decision of Sacramento's 1240 AM...

1. 1240 has changed format. |
|
There will be a new Air America station coming soon. I don't know the call letters or the station.

1320 will be Air America soon and 1240 will play non-Air America left talkers. OK, I'm relieved. 1320 has a much better signal!

4. That's why they switched |

AAR wants very strong signals.
In LA you can get KTLK almost to Santa Barbara and there you can switch to 1340 AM and from there 1340 is also the AAR station in San Luis Obispo.
I wish Bakersfield would get one. Fresno has AAR and Bakersfield needs AAR too.

8. I can get the Riverside station in a little |
|
here in the San Gorgonio pass. (It's actually out of San Bernardino, not Riverside, don't know why AAR says "Riverside" on their site.)
I end up streaming from the net anyway because that station only plays an hour each of Franken and Randi and none of the other AAR programs. They have a couple of left-leaning shows but a whole lot of infomercials, too. I've written to the manager and he tells me he's "trying" to get liberal radio to work here but he's not getting enough advertisers to sponsor the shows! The Inland Empire is full of Republican business owners and he says they won't buy time on these shows. That really stinks.
Still, I can't help but think they'd be a little more successful if they'd play an entire show instead of cutting it off for an infomercial. G Gordon Liddy is on this station too as they say it "leaves no listener behind." I've heard that this kind of splitting of the programming actually ends up alienating most of the listeners! Perhaps that's part of their problem. At any rate, the Inland Empire NEEDS more liberal radio. This place is waaaay too red for California.

Schultz is not anti-reproductive rights as far as I can tell. He is more moderate than Randi. Both have their place in our charge.
